Camping Vidy in Lausanne is not just a campsite – it is also part of a unique history. Already in 15 BC, the Romans founded the trading town of "Lousonna" here on the shores of Lake Geneva, before Lausanne later moved up to the hills above the lake. The campsite was established in 1951 and developed into a popular destination for family holidays, city visitors and nature lovers. With its proximity to the Parc du Bourget and Lake Geneva, as well as the cultural highlights of Lausanne, it is ideal for everyone who wants to combine camping in the city with excursions into nature.
