The village of Erlach and the surroundings

History tells us that Erlach was probably already inhabited in the seventh century. The castle, built as early as the eleventh century, is one of the oldest in the canton of Bern. Although the old town is rather small, it has plenty to offer for a pleasant stroll.

  Tüfelsburdi Jolimont

  The Tüfelsburdi is a group of glacial boulders deposited here by the Rhône Glacier. According to legend, the devil once collected these blocks here to build a fortress from which to watch over the people of the region.
